A Concert to Get Out the Vote

WHO: The Louisiana Bucket Brigade and the Power Coalition, including the Alliance Institute, BreakOUT, FFLIC – Families and Friends of Louisiana’s Incarcerated Children, the Jeremiah Group, Neighborhood Partnership Network, OPEN – Orleans Public Education Network, the Service Employees International Union, Stand with Dignity, VAYLA New Orleans, Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights, One Voice, Women with a Vision, VOTE - Voice of the Ex Offender. 

The Power Coalition is a coalition of organizations working to increase voter turnout in the upcoming gubernatorial election. The goal is 10,000 additional voters. 

WHAT: Mia Borders will begin the show, followed by Theresa Andersson and The Stooges. The concert will follow a day of door to door voter education and outreach in New Orleans and on the West Bank. 

WHEN: Saturday, September 26th – Doors open at 7 pm

WHERE: Howlin’ Wolf, 907 South Peters Street

WHY: New Orleans and Louisiana need strong leadership from our elected officials. Educated and active voters are a first step.
