Last week Katie and Martha Huckabay, a resident from St Rose Community One Voice, traveled to Washington DC to attend the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) meeting on climate change. Martha was given an opportunity to talk about the ongoing pollution in St Rose.
Later in the weekend, Katie and Martha accompanied the USCCB to a meeting with Gina McCarthy, the EPA Administrator. During a one-on-one meeting, Martha gave Administrator McCarthy over 400 odor reports collected from St. Rose since early June. They also talked to the administrator about the need for EPA intervention and continuous air monitoring in St. Rose.
