Common Ground III: Why Cooperation to Reduce Accidents at Louisiana Refineries is Needed Now
The BP Oil Disaster of 2010 exemplified the lack of oversight, poor commitment to safety and inadequate maintenance in the oil industry. This culture is one of accidents and spills on a daily basis.
The purpose of this report is to raise awareness and offer solutions to the accident problems at Louisiana refineries. Prevention of these accidents provides an opportunity to create jobs and reduce chemical exposure in our state.
