Acting ASA(CW) Jaime Pinkham directed the US Army Corps of Engineers to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Formosa Plastics’ proposed project, which could take years to complete. Formosa’s federal permit will remain suspended until the EIS has been completed and the record of decision has been issued.
