I was preparing a newsletter about our court victory regarding Hyundai, the air permit hearing, and the media spotlight we helped to shine on local leaders from Modeste. But DAMN if just this morning we didn’t learn about still more – hundreds of millions of dollars that the state is planning to funnel to Hyundai. We need you!

This info is available on our Facebook event page (please share)

WHEN: Monday, September 14th at 10 am

WHERE: 2237 South Acadian Thruway, Suite 650, Baton Rouge – offices of the Louisiana Public Facilities Authority

WHAT: A public hearing regarding up to $900 MILLION in bonds for the benefit of Hyundai steel. Here is the link to the public notice about the event.

REMEMBER: 23 public officials signed NDAs about this project. Massive public funding for Hyundai – a corporation based in South Korea – was arranged under the cloak of NDAs.

The state is not expecting a soul to show up and speak out. Let’s flip the script! Please join us! RSVP on the FB event page or write to info@labucketbrigade.org. We can help you with talking points, a ride, and the spirit of working together to protect our home.

Please come and stand with us,

Anne Rolfes
Director

P.S. If you can’t join us on Monday, please submit comments in writing via email to dubroc@lpfa.com.
