The full force of government is behind the Hyundai steel mill and threats to West Ascension Parish. Louisiana Economic Development is giving away hundreds of millions of OUR dollars for Hyundai, requires NO local jobs, and calls it economic development. Please.

Our work to understand the bad deals with Hyundai in Ascension Parish has meaning throughout the state, because Louisiana state government is also giving taxpayer money away to Meta’s datacenter and SpaceX. The non-disclosure agreements about these projects are all about keeping secret this massive transfer of wealth.

Louisiana Governor Landry has said SpaceX will have its permits in six months. Hyundai will host a groundbreaking for its facility this week before it even has its permits. But guess what – we were in court three times in the last week to challenge this madness, and at the public hearing last night regarding the Hyundai air permit. We are not pulling any punches. We are relentless. The future of our home is at stake.
