Thank You! NEXTGEN Camp 2026
You may remember back in May, when we asked for your support for Inclusive’s first ever summer youth programming. From June 1st to June 25th, children between the ages of 5 to 13 years old, engaged with a curriculum that rooted them in place with their native ecology, familiarized them with environmental harm, and culturally uplifted their lived experience in their river community. Between onsite visits by teachers and artists, to weekly field trips that broadened their exposure and highlighted their interconnectedness, . The seeds of the next generation of environmental advocates have been planted.
The NextGen youth program was conceptualized and developed by our community partners, Rural Roots in the summer of 2025 in Ascension Parish. This year, they expanded and entrusted Inclusive Louisiana, to bring their environmentally conscious education to the young people in Convent.
For those who gave during our GiveNOLA Day campaign, please know that your support helped create a space where young people could learn, grow, and develop a stronger sense of stewardship and pride in their community. Your commitment helps us build stronger, more sustainable relationships rooted in solidarity with communities that need more resources. Lasting movement work begins with our youth, and your generosity is helping cultivate the next generation of environmental justice leaders.
Thank you for standing with us, investing in our communities, and making a meaningful difference,
Samille Ganges
Program Manager
